Greg was nominated because he started and operates the IDEA Center in Portage County. He is the mastermind behind helping so many people making their dreams come true. His newest vision is to see the Fox Theater become the new home of the IDEA Center and so much more. 

Greg was born and raised in Whiting and moved back to Portage County in 2012.

Greg went to school to be an English teacher, then took some time off to write and ended up working for the Arts Alliance, which eventually evolved in to Create Portage County in 2016. Greg loves his job he gets to invest in creativity. Some of the projects are live music in the park and public art murals downtown Stevens Point.

The IDEA Center is a hub of creativity in Portage County, founded in November 2016 by CREATE Portage County, a nonprofit arts advocacy organization. Members of the IDEA Center use various spaces to work on projects at the center, which offers free access to the internet and shared technology. At this time rooms are set up for different functions but include white board walls, projection capabilities and flexible furniture to support visioning & strategic planning workshops, lectures, classes, events, other meetings, a design lab, locker rooms, a media lab and the space and 3D printers available to print your own projects for a small suggested donation.
